Shruti Talekar

Shruti Talekar is currently a first-year PhD student here in the Molecular Rheumatology research group. In 2018 she completed her Bachelors in Zoology from the University of Mumbai having undertaken a project focusing on the role of reactive oxygen species in brain development as a part of her final year thesis. Recently, in 2019 she completed her masters degree in Translational Oncology in the Trinity Translational Medicine Institute Dublin, having undertaken a three-month research project at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) as part of her master’s thesis. Subsequently, she got accepted on a PhD studentship funded by NCRC. Her research interest focuses on investigating how transcriptional and metabolic pathways drive stromal and immune cell response in auto-immune diseases.
