Keelin obtained a B.Sc in Pharmacology from University College Dublin in 2019. Her final year project involved the generation of kidney and brain organoids to investigate whether epigenetic silencing plays a role in mediating renal damage. She gained useful skills in cell culture when carrying out her final year project that she has been able to apply to her role as a research assistant for the Molecular Rheumatology group. She works between St.Vincent’s University Hospital and Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute, coordinating the arthroscopy programme between the two facilities.
