Hannah is currently a Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Mary Canavan in the Translational Immunopathology and Molecular Rheumatology lab. After completing her B.Sc in Genetics and Cell Biology in DCU in 2021, she went on to do an M.Sc in Immunology at Trinity College. During the M.Sc, she did her 3-month research project on the role of the JAK/STAT signalling pathway in lung cancer. Following the M.Sc, Hannah went on to do an internship in a biotech start-up “Poolbeg Pharma”, focused on new treatments for infectious diseases. Returning to Trinity, Hannah’s project in Mary’s lab will be looking at the PD-1:PD-L1 axis in inflammatory arthritis”.
