Eimear completed a BSc in Physiology from University College Dublin in 2017. Eimear’s interest in pathophysiology and the understanding of the failing of physiological processes at a molecular level led her to undertake an MSc in Molecular Medicine from Trinity College Dublin, based at St. James Hospital. Her thesis examined the role of natural killer cells in obesity associated cancer and aimed to identify novel therapeutic targets. Eimear works as a research assistant between St. Vincent’s University Hospital and the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute
