Adam Dignam is a postdoctoral researcher in the Molecular Rheumatology research group. In 2017,
he completed his undergraduate degree in Immunology in Trinity College Dublin, carrying out a
three-month research project in Prof. Cliona O’Farrelly’s lab. Adam worked as a research assistant on
a prostate cancer research project at Maynooth University after graduating. He then began a PhD in
Immunology in the Cell Signalling group at Maynooth University in 2018 under the supervision of Dr.
Marion Butler. His research project focused on the regulation of innate immune signalling pathways.
He also worked in collaboration with the Biomedical Engineering group at Maynooth University on
microscopy micro-spectroscopy research. His current research interest focuses on identifying distinct
pathogenic mechanisms of disease in Rheumatoid Arthritis and Psoriatic Arthritis.
