Aenea is currently a first year PhD student here in the Molecular Rheumatology research group.
During her PhD, she will be studying how distinct fibroblast subsets in psoriatic and rheumatoid
arthritis can contribute to disease pathogenesis.
Before joining this lab, Aenea completed her Bachelor’s in Biology and Mathematics at Durham
University and the University of British Columbia in 2020. She then went on to receive a Master’s in
Immunology at Trinity College Dublin in 2021 before working as a research assistant for a year in the
Tuberculosis Immunology research group. There her research focused on how macrophage
metabolism can be modulated by inflammatory signals.
